OUR VISION

With over 15 years of experience in residential home construction and habitat restoration, we founded our company with the belief that we all have the opportunity to make the world where we live a better place — not just for ourselves, but for all the plants and animals that depend upon it. We can have our very own biodiversity hotspot literally in our backyards.

This isn’t just a belief. Did you know that if we converted just half of our yards to native landscapes, we would protect about 20 million acres of habitat? That’s equal to about a quarter of all land protected by our national parks. We have an incredible amount of environmental power on our doorsteps.

Because native landscapes are designed with our natural environments in mind, you can spend less time and money on things like chemicals, fertilizers, and watering, and more time on reveling. Don’t worry. You can still enjoy the Zen of gardening if you want to, but focus more on the parts you love to do most.

MEET THE TEAM

We combine sound ecological science with a care for how you need to live your lives.

  • Founder/Restoration Specialist

Philipp Wickey holds an M.A. in environmental science, with a specialty in habitat restoration, a B.A. in biogeography with an emphasis in fire ecology, and he also is a certified LEED AP. For years, he worked as a Jack of All Trades, conducting wildlife surveys from insects to mountain lions, invasive plant removal and restoration for our national parks and wildlands, including in Willapa Bay, the Southwest and Flathead wilderness in MT. Now he’s turned that expertise toward home, bringing our conservation aesthetics and mindsets to our backyards.

  • Storytelling & Impact Manager

Mo knows that our landscapes are the stories of our lives. With a background in ecology, journalism and environmental policy, she supports and shapes the stories we share about our spaces. Her favorite place is to be behind-the-scenes and providing views of your world that make you proud.
